Filming Locations for Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Although it’s somewhat embarrassing to admit, Home Alone is seriously one my favorite movies of all time. How can you go wrong with Christmas music, two goofy bandits and a hilarious family all wrapped into one?

Remember when youngster Kevin McCallister accidentally winds up in New York City for Christmas in Home Alone 2?

Here are 3 film locations to hop-off at during the Uptown or Downtown Tours:

1. The Plaza Hotel

Kevin spent a few infamous nights here all thanks to his dad’s credit card. From the cheese pizza to the shower scene, this is one of our favorite filming locations from Home Alone 2.

Stop #19 on the Downtown Loop.

Stop #38 on the Uptown Loop.

2. Rockefeller Center

Spoiler alert! At the end of the movie, Kevin and his mom finally reunite at the magical Rockefeller Christmas Tree. After Thanksgiving, you can experience this incredible site for yourself! Aside from Christmas Time, 30 Rock is a great place to people watch and grab a yummy lunch from the many street vendors.

Stop # 18 on the Downtown Loop.

3. Bethesda Fountain

Escaping and pranking “The Wet Bandits” is what makes the Home Alone series an instant classic. After the two bandits spot Kevin outside of a toy shop, they run towards the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.

Stops #25, 36 – 38 on the Uptown Loop.

Stop #19 on the Downtown Loop.
