Madison Square Garden hosts the Big East Tournament and Barclays Center Hosts the A-10 Tournament
It’s that time of year again! The time when the crazy sports fan walks around your office asking you to fill out a bracket for an office pool. The time when having multiple TVs in your living room doesn’t mean you’re obsessive, it means you’re planning ahead. The time when upsets bring smiles to our hearts and all but one college goes home with tears in their eyes. It’s March Madness!
Starting this Wednesday, New York City is joining in the fun. Madison Square garden will once again host the Big East Tournament. This year the tournament will have a different feel to it due to conference realignment, but it’s one of the best tournaments in the nation. Barclays Center will host the A-10 tournament for the second straight year and once again, multiple teams are up for a bid including SLU and VCU.
Both tournaments will run until Saturday when conference champions will be crowned.
Later this month, college basketball in NYC makes another revival when it hosts the East Regionals in Madison Square Garden. On the 28th and 30th of this month, teams still yet to be determined will square off in the world’s most famous arena in hopes of cutting down the nets and booking a trip to Arlington.
New York City is turning into a college town this month so get ready for the madness!
