Each weekend, we like to tell you what’s up in New York. This way, when you finish your bus tour or you’re just hopping off, you’ll know what to do. Here’s what’s happening this weekend in New York City:
Pools are open!
Public swimming pools are once again open in New York City, just in time for some more hot weather. Bring your kids to cool off from the heat or, if you’re feeling adventurous, hop in yourself for some summer fun. Check out McCarren pool in Brooklyn which has reopened for the first time since 1984 or use this NYC.gov tool to find the pool nearest you.
Free LMFAO concert
As Part of Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series, LMFAO will be performing a free concert in Central Park on Friday Morning. There’s nothing like party-rocking in central park early on a Friday morning. As usual, one of our double decker buses will be transporting fans from the Times Square studios to the show, so watch for us on TV!
Staten Island OutLOUD
This one’s for all the history buffs out there! Hop-off the downtown loop at Battery Park to catch the Staten Island ferry on Saturday for a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Head over to the South Shore and reflect on the meaning of the 4th of July at this free event.
