The intern will be primarily responsible for assisting with on and offline promotions, interacting with customers, producing videos for our YouTube channel, conducting research in the field, daily social media updates, coordinating donation requests and general administrative duties.

Requirements:

• 20-40 hours per week in-office commitment, between 9 – 5pm
• Pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s Degree
• Strong understanding of marketing communications and branding
• Extremely enthusiastic, outgoing and a fun sense of humor
• Self-disciplined with the ability to work alone
• Open-minded, creative and collaborative with a team
• Excellent writing and proofreading abilities

A few weeks ago, my sister and I ventured off to Madison Avenue in between 50th and 51st Streets to board the white motor coach bus for the extremely popular Gossip Girl Tour.

About thirty others were already anxiously sitting on board the bus; all major fans of the hit CW television show, Gossip Girl. Women of all ages (and even a few reluctant husbands!) sat tall in their comfy chairs with their eyes glued to a short promo reel describing the tour. We were pleasantly surprised about the exclusive interview with Dororta, Blair Waldorf’s loveable housekeeper.

Our tour guide was a bubbly Florida transplant who moved to New York City a few years back to become an actor. She honestly gave the best tour and we know she’ll make the big time soon!

After her quick introduction, the tour bus made its way up 5th Avenue, passing the many ritzy boutiques and coffee shops where Serena and Blair spend their free time.

An exhilarating rush of excitement suddenly hit me, knowing that the entire Gossip Girl cast had all roamed these well-kept streets in the prestigious Upper East Side.

Our first stop during the tour was the filming location of The Constance Billard School for Girls/St. Jude School for Boys where Blair, Serena, Dan and Chuck all attend school.

We all had the opportunity to hop-off the bus for about 15 minutes and explore the front steps of the school and even the Central Park Conservatory Garden.

Did you know that in real life, the gate to the Conservatory Garden above was donated by Nate’s family, the Vanderbilts?

Our next stop was The Metropolitan Museum of Art where Blair and friends gossip on its grand steps during their daily lunch hour.

Our guide shared a ton of top-secret filming locations, including Chuck Bass’ Empire Hotel where many infamous scenes take place.

One of my favorite hop-off locations was Dylan’s Candy Bar, a giant three-story candy shop where Rufus shops for tasty Halloween candy.

If you have time, make sure to climb to the third floor and order a tasty cupcake from Crumb’s Bakery! Best. Cupcake. Ever.

We’re looking forward to a brand new year here in the Big Apple and to kick things off, we thought we’d compile our own set of New Year’s Resolutions.

As the Community Manager for New York City’s red Double-Decker buses, you would think I’ve seen it all! The truth is, I’m a Florida transplant who still has a few items left on her New York City Bucket List.

With that, here are my Top 10 New Year’s Resolutions In New York City:

1. Cloisters Museum – Doug, my co-worker in the Interactive Media Department, tells me all the time I should drop everything I do and visit this museum ASAP! The distance from our Midtown office is slightly intimidating, but the Medieval architecture and artwork ranging from the 12th-15th Century is extremely intriguing.
2. Guggenheim Museum – My apartment is just a few short blocks from Museum Mile and this year, my goal is to check out a new exhibit at least once a month.
3. 9/11 Memorial – For some reason, I can’t bring myself to visit the 9/11 Memorial just yet. When the time is right, I’ll make sure to bring my family and visit this extremely moving memorial together.
4. Sex & The City Hotspots Tour - Alright, don’t judge now.. I’m a huge fan of this popular show filmed in the heart of the City that Never Sleeps. What’s your favorite movie or television show filmed in the city?
5. How To Succeed In Business Without Even Trying – I’m a huge sucker for anything Harry Potter related, so when I learned that Daniel Radcliffe was the star of this hit Broadway Show, I knew I had to check it out. Although Radcliffe just wrapped up his final performance, I know this classic show will be a hit for years to come.
6. Dialog in the Dark – Ever wondered what it’s like to experience the sights, sounds and smells of New York City in complete darkness? This experience will change your every day outlook on navigating the city streets.
7. Rent – Confession: I’ve seen the movie Rent about 10 times, but still have yet to see the Broadway Show! Hopefully the cast members won’t mind me signing along.
8. Empire State Building – Ever seen the movie, Sleepless in Seattle? Let’s just say I’m still waiting for the final scene to happen to me!
9. The Ride – If you’ve ever walked through Midtown Manhattan, you may have seen various actors break out in song and dance for The Ride. A Broadway Show and tour all in one? Sign me up.
10. Woodbury Common Premium Outlets – Living in New York City can get sightly expensive if you aren’t careful, which is why I can’t wait to make a trip out to Woodbury Common this Spring. Shop ’til you drop!

Holy Cross students, ranging from Pre-Kindergarden to 5th Grade, sang popular holiday tunes, including Silent Night, Frosty the Snowman and We Wish You A Merry Christmas.

We were so happy to be a part of this wonderful event and have been humming their cheery, festive jingles ever since.

We waited anxiously in the heart of Times Square for Simpson’s arrival.

When Simpson and his crew arrived, we all hopped on-board and drove down to the Moonstruck Diner on the corner of West 23rd Street and 9th Avenue.

Tons of Cody Simpson fans were already there, waiting anxiously to catch a glimpse of Simpson himself!

Simpson hopped-off to sign autographs and take pictures with his excited fans.

Next, 12 lucky fans had the chance to board Simpson’s bus and tour the city for his exclusive MTV segment.

He even serenaded everyone on the bus!

We could get used to these performances!

September 24th, we will honor Yankees legend, Roger Maris, on the 50^th anniversary of his then-Major League record breaking 61^st home run in 1961, as the next “Ride of Fame” dedicatee.

The event will take place Saturday, 9/24/2011 at 12:45pm at Yankees Stadium.

Maris’ wife and children as well as his former Yankees teammates and the devoted fan that caught the 61^st home run ball, will all be in attendance to unveil the Gray Line New York bus with Roger’s likeness.

The “Ride of Fame” campaign recognizes and honors leading New Yorkers, whom we identify as exemplary community figures by bestowing a bus in our fleet to each dedicatee.
